Just a reminder that the directions for the homework are in your student's binder on a yellow sheet of paper. They also should have it written in their agendas. A third option is to look under classroom information on this page :)

Hurricane Harvey

As we all know, Hurricane Harvey has affected many areas of Texas. We, at Pioneer Crossing, want to help out the families that will be relocating to Austin by providing them a welcome kit upon their arrival. In your child's homework folder today you should find a flyer about the welcome kits. The item that they have volunteered to bring is highlighted on the sheet. Please send in this item by this Friday with your student. We will be taking the bins with all the items to Hope Family Thrift Store to be given to the families when they arrive. As always, if you have any questions or concerns please let me know.

Now that we have had a week to get back in the swing of things it's time for our homework to begin. Yay! Your student has a homework folder that they should be bringing home with them each day where they will keep their homework. Each week they will have a spelling and affix packet which they will need to complete. Today we went over what they are to complete each night for their spelling words and affixes. The directions can be found in the reading section of their binder or under classroom information on my website. I will be marking each morning whether they have their homework completed for that day. On Friday I will collect their packet to take a grade on it.
It is so important that your child is reading every night! They have a reading log in the reading section of their binder that needs to have 20 minutes logged each night. Please feel free to email me if you have any questions!
