Welcome to Pioneer Crossing Elementary New Tech Student Council!
Student council is a great program that promotes leadership skills, teaches organization and teamwork, give students a sense of self worth, and builds self-esteem. As a member of student council, students of all grade levels (3-5) will participate in campus and community improvements. Student council will consist of 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students. These students will typically be in good academic standing, have good attendance, no behavior problems, and have a desire to be a leader within their school, grade level, and classroom.
Along with being a member of the Student Council, members will be responsible for collecting recycling from each classroom, provide guided tours to new students, assist staff with crossing guard duties and welcoming all students and parent/guardians each morning. Members will work together to make our campus clean, safe, and efficient.
The student council members will have the opportunity to run for office (President, Vice President, Recording Secretary, and Corresponding Secretary) and have the opportunity to lead monthly meetings after school.
The Pioneer Crossing Elementary New Tech Student Council will give back to the community twice a year. This year, we will offer our services to the Central Texas Food Bank. We will also raise money for the Make-a-Wish Foundation and support one of our local Make-a-Wish kids.
