I am privileged to work with your precious student at Pioneer Crossing Elementary! This is my 13th year in education and my 5th year at PCE. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication majoring in Journalism from the University of Texas at Arlington. Students explain various types of rocks to our New Tech representative, Mrs. Jodi Posadas, at our 2017 Fall Symposium.
Our Flat Stanleys and Flat Stellas travelled the world with PCE staff members during the 2017-18 holiday!  Stanley and Stella visited Iceland, Thailand, London, and various U.S. cities!  We even had a few sight-seeing "stay-cations" in Austin!  Students tracked the weather and learned about the various cities visited.

Got College?  Thanks to AVID Elementary, we are already preparing!!  PCE is an AVID school!  AVID is an international college readiness program, giving students skills that will prepare them for success throughout their entire education.  AVID stands for:  Advancement Via Individual Determination!
Ms. Young's class enjoyed time with Ms. Margaret and Mr. Kamrin for Creative Action!  Thank you to two awesome teachers!!
Rice University represented by Ms. Young's Class for College Week!  Check out the real rice on the owls!!
PCE Celebrates College Week!  Ms. Young's class created an AVID one-pager on Rice University!
Ms. Young's "Rockin' Readers and Writers" are excited about taking on the "50 Book Challenge" this year!  Each student's individual goal is to read 50 books of 50 pages or more by the end of the year!!!
4th grade students strike a "Power Pose" with Daniel Letz, our new Badger Dog Writing Artist!  Posing like this not only gives us power to write, but makes our facial muscles smile and puts us in a good mood!!!
Ms. Young's Writing students compete in a game of "Kahoot" with the iPads to review vocabulary!
