About Me!

Hello Panther Parents and Students,

I am Mrs. Davis, your 5th grade Math teacher! I was born in Seattle, Washington but spent most of my school years moving between Texas, Louisiana and Maryland. I attended Frostburg State University where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Music: Vocal Performance. Before graduating from FSU, I realized that my true calling was in the field of education.

For the next year and a half, I worked in a Middle School as an AVID tutor and co-teacher and filled in as a substitute where needed, including special education classrooms. I felt confident in my decision to pursue my career as an educator and began a Master's Certification Program at the University of Maryland: College Park. Through this program I was able to obtain a Master's of Education with a focus in Curriculum and Instruction.

Upon graduation, I began working at a public school near the University of Maryland. I worked for two years in 5th grade, teaching all core subjects, and spent my final year there teaching 4th grade. While Maryland was my home for the last 16 years, I was very excited to make the move to Texas to be closer to my family in Houston! This will be my second year at PCE!

While teaching is one of my favorite things to do, I also enjoy singing, playing with my son, snuggling with my cat named Thor, making crafts of any kind, and hiking with my husband! I also enjoy exploring new things about Austin.

I am excited to begin working with your child for the 2017-2018 school year. I look forward to working closely with you and your child towards a successful year and future.

Mrs. Davis
